Meadows, Creeks, and Breathtaking Views

From the Highland Valley which includes a 450 acre meadow and surrounding pine to the open grassland at the foot of the Ochoco Mountains as many as nine mountains can be seen.

The headwaters to Newbill Creek (a tributary to Willow Creek) are within the hillsides and meadows of Six Springs Ranch

Newbill Creek and numerous un-named tributaries provide a year round water source to Six Springs.

Once wild horses and of course our Quarter Horses are always happy to see visitors:

While occasionally the horses are used to "work" the cattle, usually they roam free or are taken by the family on a trail ride.

Our winter snow pack, seen here to the right, at our Ranch entrance provides much needed water for summer

Six Springs Ranch, owned and managed by the Kelly Bruun family, is a working ranch at the base of the Ochoco Mountains in Central Oregon. 2500 acres (1250 deeded acres plus 1250 acres long term lease) are managed for wildlife enhancement, watershed impovement, timber management and reforestation, and seasonal cattle grazing.

Elevation and terrain vary from open grasslands at 3,600 feet elevation to pine forest at 4,750 feet.
